Bridgehead has a great story to tell: It is one of the UK’s most sustainable business parks thanks to its extensive use of renewable energy technologies and its biodiversity strategy. Our client, Wykeland, was really keen to build Bridgehead’s green credentials and to start generating buzz through the initial construction phase and beyond.

The Yorkshire Wildlife Trust was a key player in the planning of Bridgehead and helped devise a natural trail around the park’s northern edges. Local schoolchildren were invited to create and decorate bird boxes and bug hotels. We did a lot of media work publicising that and ensuring coverage when the kids visited the site to see their creations in situ.

We devised and project managed the big launch event. The guest list included the great and good of Yorkshire’s business community, as well as guest of honour, Hull West and Hessle MP Alan Johnson, who had agreed to do a speech.

Our roll was extensive, both for background and front of house tasks: from arranging and setting up the venue, catering and sorting adequate parking – to developing and issuing itineraries, briefing speakers and being the point of contact throughout the morning.

On conclusion of the event, we made certain that media representatives got the quotes they needed and managed all follow up calls. The event received great coverage across a range of media including a double page spread in the primary target publication.

We carried on working on the projects and secured coverage for the first wave of tenants, including Tiptoes Day Nursery, John Good, Beal Homes, SGS and Rofin Sonir.
